Help!

I would say if there has ever been a time when the church needs help it is now. We are told that as a result of the pandemic that church attendance is at an all time low. Churches have closed their doors and many have not and do not intend to reopen. I thank and praise the Lord that even though our attendance has not been good and it seems that every week several families of the church find reason not to be at church, we still gather and worship. I have purposed and believe that even though there has been a pandemic and many other so-called reasons as well, we are still going to have church at Grace Baptist. We, and as many as will, even though that number is small, have every intention to gather at the appointed time for preaching, teaching, fellowship and worship. It has been said that “God helps them that help themselves”. That sounds real good but you will not find that in your Bible. What we do find in the Bible is that “God helps those who have come to the end of themselves”.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart –

I believe that God will help Grace Baptist Church and many other churches when we come to the understanding that God is trying to help us see the great spiritual need in our lives and the church. When we who claim to be saved and love the Lord one more time commit ourselves and make the sacrifice of faithfulness to Him.

God would have us to be faithful, even if others choose not to. The one thing that we find that God would have us to do is to be faithful.

Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. I Corinthians 4:2

We need help; we will get help and hear from God when we come to the place of understanding that there is no help apart from God.
