Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

Once again we have come to the end of another year. God has seen fit to bless us with great blessings this past year and no doubt it could have been greater if we had taken Jeremiah’s preaching more serious. He tells us to “amend our ways” or to do better than we did before and our “doings” the way we did them. This is always good advice. We could all use some serious improvement in our relationship with the Lord Jesus.

God has been good to Grace Baptist Church. We still hold the same truths that we did last year and will do the same this year. God has seen fit for us to continue on as a New Testament Church in preaching, teaching and fellowship. However, I must warn you we live in a very critical time. The Church is under attack from the demonic forces of the world. Satan and his crowd are using those very things that we hold so near and dear and the leaders of our country. It was Thomas Jefferson that said…

“I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”

We need to amend our ways and our doings. We ought not to be satisfied with what we have when we know we can do better. I trust that we have learned that through prayer and trust in the Lord we can enjoy the great and good blessings of God.

I challenge you in the beginning of this New Year to search your heart and see if there is the need of amending your ways and your doings. We have great opportunity. The Lord has not come as of yet and we can see and experience a great move of God before He comes. I trust that you will want to be a part of that great move.
