Individual Responsibility

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”

This passage deals with the judgment of the believers and their rewards, unbelievers will also be judged but at another judgment. Point being, we all will stand before God and be judged for our individual failings and accomplishments. You cannot blame someone else for your sin. David said in , “Against thee, thee only, have I sinned.”

“We must reject the idea that every time a law is broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.” What a tremendous statement. It was made by one of our greatest and wisest presidents of the past, Ronald Reagan.

With the rise of socialism among the so called leaders of our country individual responsibility has been removed. We are being led to believe that crime in our country is not the fault of the individual criminal but of the society. We are also being led to believe that our entire society is sick and there are a few at the top that know what must be done and we must follow their directives. We are not capable of self control and must be guided by their thinking for us.

What this requires is that we must do away with the principles and precepts of the Bible as well as leadership of a Holy God. I chose to receive the correct teaching of God’s Holy Word; “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
