“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost”

The great hope of the believer is to be like Christ and to enjoy God in Christ forever. We, our family, sat under a pastor who instilled in all of us that we are not to endure God but enjoy Him. There are many Christians that have not learned this lesson yet and their lives in Christ are not complete. They do not understand that, “he who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” ()

We strive for a clean mind and clean heart and life so that we may be drawn closer to Him and as we do, the Holy Ghost arouses our desires to be more like Him, so we grow our hope.

The God of hope will fill you with Joy and Peace; Joy in your relationship with Him and Peace that passeth understanding. Meaning that no matter the circumstance we have put our trust and hope in Him and in so doing we are at peace.

What a glorious thing to know that He is in control and that all of the demons of hell cannot touch you. They cannot because He brings joy, assurance, boldness, confidence, expectation, and glorying for the believer. With all of the proven promises of God given to us I find great difficulty with those who have not learned to enjoy God and His blessings in life.

We have at our disposal the great power of prayer and the promise of action on God’s part. () We have the promise of the desires of our heart if we will pray believing that our petition will bring glory to God and blessing to us. ()

He also told us that we may “abound” in hope. This means we can have an abundance of hope and joy in what God is doing in our lives. That means we can enjoy Him because He is always doing something for us and not to us.
