Six “BE” things

“Be” means a time for all things or existence. We often hear the children say, “I want to be a policeman or a fireman or a cowboy; but we rarely, if ever, hear anybody say, “I want to be obedient.”

The Word of God teaches us that obedience produces blessings and disobedience produces judgement.

If we intend to have the blessings of God on our lives, there are six things that will have to “BE” in our lives.

Be faithful: ; “It is required in stewards that a man be found faithful.” Faithful to church, Bible, prayer, witness and God’s will.

Be obedient: ; “For to this end did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.” Obedient to the Lord, parents and His word.

Be careful: ’ “Be careful for nothing.” Be full of care for others, full of faith in the Lord, full of Godly fear.

Be prayerful: ; “Pray without ceasing.” Pray about what you have done, what you are about to do and what you need to do.

Be mindful: ; “That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before of the Holy prophets.” All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable. It would do us well to be mindful of the words of the prophets and apply them to our daily lives. It would also be profitable if we would use our heads and consider others before we act.

Be concerned: ; “The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me.” There are folks all around us that are in some kind of need. They need help and our helping them helps us in our relationship with the Lord.
