The Days that we Live
“In the last days perilous times shall come.”

Paul said that perilous times are a revelation of the last days. It goes without saying that in the days that we live with all of the violence we are hearing and seeing is most surely an indication of the closing of the dispensation of grace. Apostasy is sweeping our society and more sad than that apostasy is sweeping our churches.

Paul also said that in the last days there would be a falling away from the faith. We most definitely are experiencing this first hand in our churches. I personally have been in many churches that once flourished in all of the services and have come to the place of the faithful few for the Sunday and Wednesday night services.

I have a great difficulty understanding how any believer can only attend one service in a week and call themselves good Christians and to not even consider that they are in violation of the Word of God to assemble ourselves together. .

There are many churches in our country and even in our town that have closed their doors on Sunday and Wednesday nights because of low to no attendance.

The preaching of the Word of God is ordained of God for the edifying (building up) of the church. This is where and when we learn the principles and precepts of the Word of God. Many in our own church are robbing themselves of the great blessing of God in failing to take advantage of faithfulness to all of the services of the church.

Don’t be a part of “perilous times.” Purpose to be faithful to the house of God and the preaching and fellowship there.
